A Signature Cultural Hotspot Project, We Are Lawrence Avenue tells a story of Lawrence Avenue, featuring portraits of people who live, work and play in this community. Photos were taken by young local artists, who have spent months learning about photography and exploring the vibrant neighbourhood of Wexford Heights.

It’s an outdoor exhibition installed all around you, from Kennedy Rd. to Pharmacy Ave., on transit shelters, a billboard and in the windows of a local building. Take time to explore!

The project is a collaboration between City of Toronto Arts & Culture Services and Toronto-based artist, instigator and photographer, Che Kothari – with mentoring support by local artist Jalani Morgan.
